- Can your main activities be reached without an unplanned car rental?
- Does the full cost still work after local connections and admission?
Bikes can help—but plan the link to the trail
CapeFLYER advertises free bicycle carriage. A bicycle can broaden your options after arrival, but do not assume the station opens directly onto the trail you want. Use the official schedule as the ticket source
Start at the operator’s schedule and fare page. Check the season of any timetable or promotion, not just the page’s last-modified date. Some material on the page carries older date references, so this guide does not repeat promotional fares as a current offer.
Record the train date, station and departure in your plan. Then establish the connection from the station to your destination and the reverse connection on the return day. Allow time to move luggage and find the boarding location; do not treat two published arrival/departure times as a guaranteed connection.
If the train does not run on your dates
Use the car-free arrival comparison to investigate coach or ferry travel suited to the destination. Do not reorganize a winter itinerary around a train that is only described for summer. The best route is the one that covers the entire visit, including getting home.
