Cape Cod beaches by bus: start with the dated timetable
Race Point and Herring Cove appear on CCRTA’s Provincetown beach-shuttle route. Check the dated schedule before treating either as a bus beach day.
The fall timetable applies September 8–October 11, 2026, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Its beach loop leaves MacMillan Pier hourly from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; the final listed calls are Race Point at 5:20 p.m., Herring Cove at 5:27 p.m. and MacMillan Pier at 5:50 p.m. These are scheduled times, not live predictions. For a Friday within that timetable’s validity, the published 10 a.m. loop reaches Race Point at 10:20 and Herring Cove at 10:27. You would still need to verify your chosen stop, entrance route and return before using this as an itinerary. Why the beach name is not enough
A route near a beach road does not establish a manageable walking connection. Before adding another beach, identify the exact stop, crossings, surface and distance using a reproducible pedestrian route. This first guide does not claim that all Cape Cod beaches—or every stop carrying a beach name—have a verified last-mile connection.
Check mobility features separately. Bus accessibility and beach accessibility answer different questions. Likewise, use the entrance-fee guide rather than assuming that a fare-free ride includes admission.
