Cape Cod beach parking: fees, permits and the right lot
Choose the beach and parking authority before buying a pass. A permit valid in one system can be useless at the next beach.
This first comparison covers National Seashore beaches and selected town rules in Dennis, Orleans, Chatham and Eastham. It is not a complete inventory of all 15 towns. Amounts below are the published 2026 planning baseline, checked September 23, 2026; they are not confirmed 2027 rates.

Work out whether a pass helps
Compare the total for your actual beach days, not the length of your vacation. Three Dennis daily admissions at the listed rate total $105, versus a $100 weekly sticker, but the fixed Saturday–Friday validity matters. A Friday-to-Monday stay crosses that boundary. The calculation is ours; the rates and restrictions come from the town.
At Orleans, five daily payments including the stated service fee total $182.50. The $165 weekly base price may be attractive, but include its purchase charges, ensure all visits fit seven consecutive days, and check whether your dates are in the charging season. A pass does not reserve a parking space.
Federal pass choices
NPS lists a $60 Cape Cod seasonal pass for eligible US citizens and residents. Its coverage and the America the Beautiful options depend on entry method and eligibility. Check the official rules before comparing it with daily charges; do not assume every member of a walking group is covered. NPS entrance fees and pass eligibility.
Three checks before payment
- Write down the exact beach, town and lot. Nauset Beach in Orleans and Nauset Light Beach in Eastham are different destinations.
- Choose the correct visitor category. A rental address does not automatically establish taxpayer eligibility.
- Confirm the permit period, payment method and an alternative lot. Parking permission and parking availability are separate.
